International Networks

China is playing an increasingly significant role in the global scientific landscape. Since 2015, LMU Munich has established the "LMU China Academic Network" to provide structured institutional support and to strengthen collaborations with leading universities in China and Hong Kong.

The Global Alliance of Medical Excellence (GAME) is an international strategic network comprising nine partner universities and their respective medical faculties. GAME is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research with global reach and impact, while fostering innovative approaches in medical education.

The European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH) is part of the European Universities Initiative launched by the European Commission. It brings together nine leading European universities, with LMU Munich as the only Bavarian institution participating in one of the 17 EU-funded European University networks.

Under the banner "EUGLOH - European University Alliance for Global Health", the partners jointly develop interdisciplinary teaching and learning activities focused on the theme of Global Health, working towards the creation of a shared European health domain.

Since 2009, the Center for International Health at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich has served as a platform for all departments within the LMU Medical Faculty, as well as external partners, engaged in international cooperation in medical research and education.

The League of European Research Universities (LERU) represents the interests of leading research-intensive universities in Europe. Founded in 2002 as a coalition of twelve members, LERU expanded in 2006 to include eight additional universities. Its mission is to actively shape the European higher education and research landscape, with a particular focus on securing substantial funding for the advancement of basic research.

Events

GAME Annual Conference 2024 in Melbourne

The 8th GAME Conference will take place onsite at the Monash University of Melbourne/ Australia from the 6th to 7th of November in 2024.

LMU-ChAN Scientific Forum 2024 at Fudan University in Shanghai

The LMU-ChAN Scientific Forum will take place from September 25-27, 2024 for the first time again in the P.R. China. Further information regarding participation and program will be announced on the central website of LMU-ChAN. You can access it here.
